I am a student of teacher Angela. I scored AL1 for my PSLE English. Before I attended teacher Angela’s composition writing class, my composition lacked length, content and good phrases. My scores were barely passing. However, things took a good turn after I attended teacher Angela’s lesson, as my friend recommended me. Teacher Angela’s classes were packed with useful writing techniques and helped me to cope with my writing problems. Whenever I do not understand something, she would patiently explain it to me. She would also correct problems in my essay and provide me with good-quality model compositions either written by her or other students. These had significantly helped me in my essay-writing and allowed me to score much better. I would say that without teacher Angela, I could never imagine getting AL1 for English.

I have been learning English composition under Tr. Angela’s guidance from P5 to P6, and her teaching has profoundly shaped the way I write. Before joining her class, my writing was often straightforward and plain. However, she taught me how to craft engaging hooks that immediately draw readers in, how to develop a character’s emotions with greater depth, and how to weave techniques like foreshadowing and foreboding into my stories to create tension and suspense. Because of her dedication and encouragement, my writing has become far more confident and expressive. Her lessons not only sharpened my technical skills but also opened my eyes to the true power of words — how even the simplest phrases can carry the deepest meaning. Achieving AL1 in English for PSLE is something I am genuinely proud of, and I am certain that her patient support during our weekly lessons played a significant role in that success. Thank you, Tr. I want to express my thanks to you for aiding me in getting a perfect score for English. Before I started to take lessons here, I had lack of vocabulary in my compositions, and my grammar and punctuation were never placed at the right place. When I started taking classes, your meticulous corrections to my original essay were helpful and I learned to place my punctuations at the right place, as well as the use of different tenses, and avoided these mistakes. Then there was vocabulary, you constantly gave us good paragraphs to describe the setting and feelings. This helped me a lot and the amount of vocabulary I used in my composition greatly increased. This is how I progressed from an AL4 in prelims to an AL1 in PSLE. Once again thank you for all your help as it has allowed me to improve greatly.
